Safety and Handling
Material must be handled as an Industrial chemical, wearing protective equipment and following the precautions as mentioned in the MSDS
Aldehyde Biocide is used for rapid and complete bacterial kill with decreased likelihood that the bacteria develop a tolerance for the chemical. It inhibits the growth of bacteria in aqueous system which comprises adding the biocide blend to an aqueous system containing bacteria..
• Effective against a wide range of microorganisms: Biocides based on aldehydes have broadspectrum activity, meaning they are efficient against a large variety of microorganisms.
• High efficacy: Aldehyde-Based Biocides are Highly Effective in Suppressing Microbial Growth. As a result, they are an economical means of combating microbial issues in oilfield infrastructure.
• Long-lasting activity: Aldehyde-based biocides have a long half-life, meaning they continue to inhibit microbial growth long after the initial application has worn off. This is especially crucial in oilfield systems, which are prone to frequent microbial contamination.
• Compatibility with other chemicals: Aldehyde-based biocides are compatible with other chemicals like corrosion inhibitors and demulsifiers that are routinely used in the oil and gas industry. Because of this, they are highly recommended for usage in oil-related infrastructure.
• Ease of use: Aldehyde-based biocides are convenient because they do not necessitate any special handling or preparation before being introduced to the system.
• Environmental and safety considerations: When used as directed, aldehyde-based biocides pose no threat to human and animal health, as they are not corrosive and are not toxic to them. Biocides based on aldehydes have less of an environmental impact because they break down quickly in nature.
